Warm Saturday Afternoon...

As you can tell, Braedin loves her flower clip and she sure is stylish with her Barbie sunglasses on. We decided to visit my parents on the lake today, since it turned out a lot warmer than we were expecting. Braedin was acting excited to get into the lake but once she would get in, she wanted immediately out... Hopefully, over July 4th, there will be more kids around to show her the ropes! I'm glad she is adventurous as she is even if she decides to change her mind!

Just a few snapshots from yesterday. The flower on her head is a clip and one of the mothers from daycare made them for all the girls for "spa day." For the entire summer, there are themed days with activities. Next week is Red, White and Blue. They will all learn about being American. We'll keep the pictures coming!

Amateur Video... "Hello. Hi. How are you?"

"Hello. Hi. How are you?"

I managed to sneak this in before she realized what I was doing. It is too funny.

This is just a snipit of her personality... its actually endless and she surprises us daily. Just this morning, I was making something to eat for breakfast and asked her if she would like a banana. She makes sure I know, that she doesn't want one. "No Nana." But, then proceeds to tell me that Monkey or 'Nkey eats "nanas." So I ask her if Monkey wants a banana. She says "Yes." I cut half a banana into a bowl for her. She takes it to her table where she has Monkey sitting and begins to feed him and then takes a bite and continues until they are all gone. Its amazing how soon an imagination is formed. Everything she does is like the most entertaining thing I've seen in my life. Kyle and I have decided to keep her around for a bit :)

Add a Penny to His Two and Half Cents...

Every Morning Braedin lays in bed until I try to sneak in to her room and grab her clothes for the day. But she lays there awake, staring at me. She sits up and tells me, "No more Ni-Nite, Mommy, No More." She's decided on her own to stay in bed in the morning until someone comes and gets her... But at night or at nap time, she knows she can sneak out of her bed, grab some toys, jump back into bed and play quitely... Mommy and Daddy won't bother her. We'll check on her eventually and make her put everything back. But it's just too funny to watch her think of these sneaky little things...

Aunt Suzanne, Braedin's daycare teacher, has oftered her services tomorrow night for all the kids' parents to got out on a date night. It is all as a thank you to us! How thoughful is that!? We haven't decided what to do yet but I'm sure we'll find something to do. Kyle also has a show on Saturday that I'm trying to get EVERYONE to come to at the MIX Lounge in Seattle. It should be fun, The People Now are always entertaining. Kyle and I are on a mission to spend more out side of the house time together. Moving into a new house, both of us having full time jobs, his band, my classes... it all gets mushed in together and we each need time to breath outside of it all. Braedin is always the priority so mostly likely she'll be one leading out our events.

BTW, we're going to try and post video of Braedin's adventures. They are too funny. She dances, sings and rarely stops talking.

Daddy's Post

Hey,

As was assured in previous conversations with a certain MOMMY (Brit), I have finally gotten around to adding my 2 and a half cents. It just took a little bit longer than expected because I was contemplating what to write. . . . . . it's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!!
Indeed we are finally moved in, and the "honey-do" list is more than likely animating itself, gathering a thousand midgets with poison-tipped spears and daggers in preparation to drain the energy, life and over-all manliness of yours truly. Even still, I walk towards that fate more than willingly, with humor and sarcasm as my sword and shield, and a handy spare set of car keys accompanied by a pillow and blanket . . . just in case of course:)
Enough literary randomness.
I would like to point out that Braedin's vocabulary and frequency of speech has SPIKED through the roof since the move. She is so much happier (and louder) and enjoys roaming around the yard requesting at the top of her lungs that all puppies know she is vying for ownership of them. What a kid!
Brit began painting the kitchen RANDOMLY last night. Braedin went down to bed, I went to the computer to post our couch on Craigslist, then went into the kitchen where "brownie" colored paint covered one of the walls. Wasn't sold at first, but I must say that it looks pretty good throughout the kitchen now. Kudos!
Me? I have to measure the closet for the purposes of getting our LIFE in the form of clothing off of the bedroom floor and onto hangers.
yay.
To fam and friends, thanks so much for being a part of our lives. WE LOVE YOU!!!

More Pics To COME!!!!

MOVING ON!

We are now moved into our new home! Yippie US! It has been quite a journey and learning experience to purchase, renovate and move into a home of our own. But we've done it.

The work is never going to be complete however. Prior to moving in we gutted the entire house; floors, kitchen, the works. Of course, it couldn't go smoothly. We found rotten floor boards that needed to be replaced that happened to be under 3 layers of ugliness. But, we have all new floors now, new paint interior and exterior. My entirely new kitchen is nearly complete. We're mostly unpacked and organized... Kyle and I need closet shelves and rods...our room is truly a mess. Our stuff threw up all over the place. Once my kitchen is done, we will be able to organized the garage and truly get settled.

Braedin's room is the only one complete. Its pink and bright green. She has a new canopy over her toddler bed and loves all the space in the backyard to run around in. Her new bed is going great. She is such a good girl about going to bed. Just this morning she got out of bed calling for Daddy but he had already left for work. I was still sleeping but woke up to her yelling. It was dark in the house and she was walking around. I accidentally spooked her but it was funny to see her testing new waters of freedom with being out of a crib.

We decided that we should have taken before and after pictures of our house. It does not look like he same house that we bought at all. SO MUCH BETTER! We will definitely get some up soon though. We plan on having a house warming party some time in July, once things settle down more.

The neighborhood is wonderful. There is a park just around the corner and an elementary school. Her new daycare is also just down the street in walking distance. She is adjusting quite well to all our new changes. Everything we do is to benefit her.

We love you all and we will surely keep you posted!
